We Have the Cutest Customers!

Jackie and her family came into shop today.
Her sister, with the baby, lives in Califonia now, and just had to shop Treasures before heading home.
Jackie showed me a couple of mirrors she'd  found at Treasures. The milk glass lamp is also a 'Treasure'
I love how she used this mirror to make a sweet vanity!!
If you want to follow Jackie and her sister on Instagram, this is their page, seriously cute!!

Merry Christmas

We'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas. We've loved all the gift shoppers we've met the last few weeks. All buying some very fun and original gifts.
We've also enjoyed the great family groups!  These 5 women comprise four generations, though other than Great Grandma, it's hard to separate the other three generations.
This young man, part of a three generation group, was not enjoying his trip as much, but how cute he and his t-shirt?

We hope your New Year is amazing, and that you make Treasures a part of it.

Collecting Something Different?

It's the day before Thanksgiving and we are busy with family members in Utah for Thanksgiving!  We're a great place to entertain family!

I just sold a tree topper to a California man, because it looked like the one his folks had when he was a kid.

The man above is a Chemical engineer who works at the Idaho National Labs, also in town for the holiday. He collects radioactive items!  The old Fiestaware in orange had trace amounts, and the glow in the dark paint on the WWII era alarm clock used radium for is glow!!

It's always fun to hear about people's collections!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!  Hope it's amazing!

Treasures Sale And Fleamarket

Today at Treasures we celebrated our anniversary!  It was in May of 1998 that we opened our doors for the first time.  Now as we embark on our eighteenth year of business we celebrated with a discount on items in the store and 20+ dealers selling vintage goodness at a discount outside!!
One long time customer bought a 4 foot tall wrought iron candle stand and went right home to transform it into this awesome yard art!!

Not a great shot as I cropped it out of a much larger photo, but this is the candle stand before!!

Here are a few pictures of our out door set up

Lots of goodies for everyone.

Here's a group of happy vendors!

And the newly purchased treasures of a favorite customer!!

If you missed the festivities, watch for our other anniversary sale in September. It commentates the addition of the north building to our antiques business!  Hope to see you then. .

Treasuring Pyrex.

Today at Treasures, I redid the large front display area in a 50's kitchen and Pyrex style!
Gathering the Pyrex was lots of fun!!
I also added fun 50s linens and colorful tinware.

We even have this great set of Pyrex dishes.

This cute lady was buying the largest of the primary bowls, to complete her second set. She said she accidentally set her largest bowl, full of bread dough to proof on what she thought was a turned off burner!  Oops. She's used her Pyrex sets of bowls for her whole adult life!!

Joanne's Charming Valentine's Cottage Decor

Just thought I'd share a wonderful cottage, owned by our good customer Joanne.

Joanne just redid her cottage this week, and was kind enough to share!

I love these decorated cones, they are so reminiscent of Victorian Tussy Mussys which I have always loved!

The sweet gown to the left is Joanne's own blessing dress ... I asked if her daughter had worn it, and she sent me a picture of the lovely gown they had worn, across the bottom of the bed, its the last picture in this post.
So very charming.

... and here is the bed in an alternate, brighter covering.   How sweet is the heart banner?

After seeing her original picture of the gown, she decided she needed a spot of color ... and made this banner ....

And here is the promised blessing gown that her daughters wore as babes ... such a charming cottage, thanks for sharing with us Joanne ... you inspire me.

Treasures Dealer in Romantic Country Magazine

We have a couple of sisters at the antique mall who do amazing things with their booths!!
It was pretty cool recently to find out that one of them was featured in a national magazine.
In fact this cute beadboard cupboard was the star of the show.
This is the opened current Romantic Country Magazine's Flea Market issue!
Here is a close up of the same cupboard shown above, when Annette is set up at the Amazing Vintage Whites sale held last February in nearby Salt Lake!

Annette changes out her booth here at the mall according to the holiday!
Such cute and colorful chairs.
Here are some more shots of her cute Christmas booth! Isn't the door above just amazing?
