Its Time For Treasures's Birthday Sale and Flea Market!

That's right, we have a sale at Treasures twice a year, and this Saturday is one of those two times.  Every dealer is discounted. Most of them for 20% or better, a couple are even 50% and one dealer in the south building is 75% off!!
So follow me to Treasures because its that TIME!!  One of only two times a year when our dealers move out to the parking lot to CLEARANCE their goodies.  Some of the best deals ever had at Treasures are had during this flea market, don't miss the deals inside and out!!

The clocks on the left will be available at the N-170 and the clock on the right is available in the school display in the South Building.

Look at this great cake taker.  It has room in the two bottom compartments for two pies, in addition to the cake, and as one other dealer at treasures said, "You can cook brownies in a round pan and take them too!!"  This beauty is available in S-800. (South building dealer 800)
Everything shown here will be 20% off.  N-170

So plan to come and see us on Saturday September 10th, you won't regret the goodies you can pack away at bargain prices.  (N-170)

More Goodies Just for You All!!

Time for new displays and other good things at Treasures.  This calming 'seaworthy' display is in the north building ....

The ocean tones make me think of a beach cottage in New England, without the bother of sand ... so cooling!

Or how about this cute display on the left?  Keith always does a great job and has lots of ideas in his decorating that you can use at home!

Maybe you are looking for a cool bottle!  The bottle guy just brought in a new load, again in the north building, most are prices $1 to $10.

Weren't we just talking about beach colors?  How about this great shabby sea foam green antique cupboard!  It just came in this week and can be seen in Bruce's booth in the north building.

Kathy at the south building just redid our seasonal display to celebrate school being almost back in session. She did a great job, don't you think?
Also at the south building is this great English breakfast set that came in this week.  It has service for six, plus two serving pieces and four berry bowls.  Vintage china is always more affordable in sets... don't miss this one, the one I showed you last time has already sold!!

Here are more new arrivals in the south building, the children's old school chairs are charming, as is the treadle sewing machine, come and take a look.
Oh and last of all I noticed this great French style black kidney desk in a booth with a sign that says 25% off anything black!!  And it just came into the store this week.

Don't miss out on any of these charming newly placed items. We definitely have goodies you will love, so come on by.

What's Your Antique Style and New Arrivals at Treasures!!

Here we are at Treasures Antiques again, and why not, we have had lots of new goodies that have arrived since my last post.  I have divided them into pairs that fall in similar decorating styles so you can decide just how you like your antiques!!

This lovely enameled European bathing pitcher is charming, as are the other great enameled pieces in dealer S-1940's booth.  Perhaps you like a bit of Provence?  Charming stone houses that are hundreds and hundreds of years old?  I conclude that French Country is your style!

Or maybe a fresh red and white color
scheme is more your style.  Funky chrome and red bar stools, like this one in S-160, or these amazing red polka dot Fire King mixing bowls to be found  in booth S-175.  If these items seem to 'hit your decorating spot', I am going to  claim you for  mid-century - deco.

If this great antique luggage dolly (S-148) with its anthropolegic stance or this amazingly geared up extra large butter churn (S-78) are calling to you, perhaps you've a bit of industiral steam punk rocking your soul

But if all things elegant, upscale and girly bring a smile to your face, we have several wonderful items that should feather your nest wonderfully.  The mannequin came in this week and can be found in S-17, while the wonderful boudoir chair with original upholstery will be found in S-MM
Oh and by the way I am inclined to proclaim that you have the soul of a Parisian Apartment dweller.

Still you may be more traditional, and find this fabulous, sturdy maple bench to be just your style. (S-170) or perhaps a coffee table made from an enormous bellows is your idea of whimsy.  We must remember that it was the colonists who made the original American Antiques and we shall give credit where it is due, and place you in your rightful place as a lover of all things 'Early American'. (That one was easy, eh.)
Still wondering what all the 'style' thing is about.  Do you just like what you happen to like, and find joy in gathering lovely and friendly favorites around yourself?  This charming set of bird and flower theme china, might be just right for you and you can find them in booth S-923, the entire set, which is nearly enough to serve 8 is only $100.00 and has been proclaimed the deal of the day.  The charming shabby little girl chalkware lamp with the frizzy netted pink shade would certainly cast the soft light that your kind thrives on. (S-313) So what is your style?  I think you already know that one, Cottage style of course.  That lovely style that is the unofficial gathering of things beloved.

I am sorry that I missed out on finding new items in the mid century modern category, or from the simply elegant Arts and Crafts period.  We certainly have items that fill those bills, but just not any new items this week which is our focus in this post.  If there are other styles I have missed please leave a comment below, and I will try to find goodies to fit your style for my next post.  Thanks for coming along, and remember Every antique style is the best for the person who is drawn to it.  Happy Hunting!!

Is "What's New At The Antique Mall??" an Oxymoron?

Well, oxymoron or not, we have lots of 'new' stuff at Treasures Antique Mall.  Actually that is the nice thing about an antique mall,  you have 40 dealers out there scouting out goods for you!!  Besides newly placed merchandise we also have some newly done displays and booths that I wanted to share, so come along with me. (Please note that an S or an N refers to our South or North buildings, while the number refers to the dealer who has an item.)
This charming little black and very vintage dress came in this week and belongs to S-160

This wonderful display of blues, white and green is nautical by definition, but leaves one feeling cool just by looking at it. We think Kathy did a great job putting it together! The white ores came in just this week, and have chippy white paint which is likely 30 years old, along with ore locks, something I have not seen before.

The pink bowls (S-148), old striped suitcase (S-313) and the charming antique framed dog print (S-160) are all new additions to the mall.
This great old sewing bag or purse is utterly charming and it has a very, very reasonable price.  It was brought in by S-17

I love this old pie safe.  It was made from a shipping box and the address is clearly painted on the back.  It is said to have come out of a Salt Lake Candy store.  (N-700)

Another item belonging to N-700 is this pyrography trunk.  I have seen many pieces of pyrography in my life, I have just never seen one this size.  Wow.

This new display was put together by Keith and Rosemarie.  Isn't it wonderful. It has some pretty unique Utah items in honor of Pioneer Day.  The framed ribbons are a selection of turn of the century Utah awards, including Sunday School attendance.  Be sure to come by and take a look at it, it won't last long.

Back in the south building we see that S-170 has redone her front booth.  She brought in the printed French muslin upholstered items she had taken to Bella's Vintage Market.
She has also hauled out a lot of goods that have taken space for too long, many of these were sold at her {flea.o.logy} flea market in Payson last weekend.  New items have come to replace the best of what was left.

Another booth that has had a make-over is that of N-3 who has brought in her charmingly crafted event crowns.  And if you want to make one yourself, she also has old Bingo Cards full of vintage trims to make your task easier.

What ever you decided to do, be sure to come to Treasures to see  what's new!! And what we have gathered up for you!!
Adieu! Adieu! To You and You and You!!

Just a note, added Aug first!  The white ores and the blue shabby chair in the blue and white nautical display sold this past week, but then I knew they were too wonderful to last long. Also the cute striped suitcase has also left the store to travel with its new owner, but then it was so nicely priced, what else would we have expected??!!

Lots and Lots of Vintage and Antique Clothing!! Come See!

I was amazed when I worked last to notice how many different dealers have vintage and antique clothing items.  We often get lovely teens looking for prom dresses, theater and movie people seeking wardrobe, or those who are doing displays for museums or school looking for the perfect item of vintage or antique clothing. My favorite though, is customers who dress in vintage era clothing because they like them (and look great in them!!).  Most of these are women and like periods from the 1930's through the 1950's.  I consider it to be one of the perks of working at Treasures!! This week I have one customer come into the store each of the two days I worked!! So here are kuddos to these artful Ingénues.

I thought it might be fun to see a collection of photos of various vintage clothing items offered by eight different dealers!
First of all, we see this double head pink stole.  It is shown on the mannequin of another dealer, for display purposes.  The mannequin wears a vintage slip and fun jewelry.

As you can see  we have antique and vintage children's clothing from the mid 1800's to the mid 1900's.  Now here's a fun fact.  Did you know that even though hard goods like furniture and dishes are technically considered antique at 100  years, but that soft goods like paper and fabric are considered antique at 50 years. (as defined by US customs services.)

And now for my Ingénues!  Some wonderful bits from the 40's and 50's.  This charming beaded sweater above may have been worn with a circle skirt in the 1950's, though I doubt it had a poodle on it.

Here we see a great suit, which may have been an airline stewardess uniform.  Of course the 40's and 50's was the era of the 'hat', and we have a large selection of hats.

Here is a typical  40's of 50's waisted cotton dress.  Add pearls and and high heels and you can envision  June Cleaver vacuuming her living room!

Or if you want something for a special occasion, you can choose between the pink striped Gunne Sax dress, or a wonderful sequined dress that will make you feel like a mermaid.

Perhaps a lovely flapper dress to wear with your cloche hat would be more in order, or perhaps a lovely late 1800's white linen dress is more your style?

Whatever you seek, give us a try, you will be surprised how many vintage and antique clothing items and accessories that we have available.

This lovely silk 1920's bed jacket is one of my favorites.  I can only imagine how elegant one would feel wearing it.

Of course fancy and foo foo may not be your style, so I am including a couple more pictures, hoping to accommodate everyone!! Come and see our selection!
